Living History events held in Nevada City are themed interpretive weekends where each weekend event is based upon happenings in the past of Alder Gulch.
Living History interpreters will bring the past to life!
June 1863: museum visitors will be immersed in the turmoil of activity as the townspeople go about their daily business of finding gold and extracting it from the gulch or the miner's as best they can. Visitors will "Step Into Montana's Past", with the Nevada City peoples of the past, you will have the opportunity to explore many of the skills, trades, crafts, and personalities of another era. Interpreters will recreate the excitement of the gold discovery and the growth from mining camp to city in Alder Gulch.
