Annual Event presented by the Thomas Francis Meagher Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) from Helena MT and the Virginia City Chamber of Commerce and the Businesses and People of Virginia City Montana
FRIDAY Evening ・June 5th and 6th.
♣6:15 pm—7:00 pm Laying of the Irish green stripe down the center of Wallace Street (the main street in Virginia City) – A free family event—Everyone can participate
♣7:00 pm—8:00 pm Panel Discussion a Divided City Union/Confederate Veterans in Virginia City – Elling House, 404 E Idaho St.
♣9:30—10:30pm Camaraderie at the Bale of Hay
♣9:00 am Welcome Speeches & Irish Flag Raising at the Historical Madison County Courthouse— A free family event
♣ 10:00 am Outdoor Catholic Irish Mass at the AOH Mass Rock at the Meagher Cabin on west Idaho St.
♣11:00 am Introduction history/genealogy presentation followed by individual help with Irish Family History. Presented by genealogist from the Butte Archives at the Thompson-Hickman Madison County Library on East Idaho St.
♣12:00-1:00 pm Lunch (Baked Montana/Irish Potato Bar) Camaraderie at the Bale of Hay Saloon. A small free-will donation family event.
♣1:00 pm—1:30 pm Annual AOH Parade following the path of Irish green stripe on Wallace St—everyone welcome to Participate in this Parade—a free family event.
♣1:45 pm—4:00 pm Hurling exhibition with presentation of history of hurling at Bale of Hay patio.
Tiernan Irish Dancers presentation at Elks Lodge.
Genealogy and Irish Family History continues at the Thomas Hickman Madison County Library.
